Are you one of those who have been into different kinds of diets that have become a fad? You must have been promised that a certain supplement or a combination of a number of supplements will surely help you lose weight in a snap. But sooner or later, you will find yourself feeling scammed because no matter what you try and how you follow the instructions, you are not making any progress. One thing can be assumed, the supplements you were taking are not natural.

Green tea has gained popularity for its many benefits including the fact that it can actually aid in weight loss the natural way. Not only does it clean the digestive system but it also increases metabolism. Green tea everyday can take care of the extra calories in your body. It is completely natural and hence it is safe to drink every day. But you might be wondering how much green tea you should drink in a given day to fully get optimal results. You would be surprised that the answer would actually vary, it well depends on what sort of tea you plan to be using.

There are many studies made to investigate the health benefits of the said tea. A report made claims that men who drink 10 cups a day are cancer-free longer than those who drink only three cups every day. In another study, four or more cups of the tea a day reduces arthritis or soothes people who are already suffering from the said disease. At some point, research shows that women who drink at least five cups a day of green tea have fewer chances of having ****** cancer.

If you plan on drinking a green tea supplement, it would be wise to read product descriptions and recommendations. However, if you really want a reliable source as to how much you should drink a day for full health benefits, consult your trusted doctor.

—> Here are the details:
1L Nativa Lemon Green Tea

Want to enhance your health in surprising ways? Drink green
tea.

We’re not talking about a new health discovery here. This
beverage has been used for thousands of years by the
Chinese. It has proved itself for centuries as worthy of being
included in our diet for its health properties.

Not only has this drink been endorsed for ages, but modern
science also has discovered astonishing facts about what
it may be able to do for your health.

There are a lot more benefits to drinking green tea than are listed
below, but here are seven:

1. Drink it to help shed extra pounds.

A study published by the American Journal of Clinical
Nutrition in November, 1999, is encouraging. It shows that
this drink may enable people to burn more calories.

2. This ancient brew may help combat signs of aging.

That’s because it contains large amounts of vitamins E and
C which are antioxidants. Antioxidants have the reputation
of being able to combat free radicals that damage cells.
Cancer, heart attacks and diabetes can result from damaged
cell membranes.

In April, 1999, researchers at Case Western Reserve
University in Cleveland revealed that green tea may ease the
symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis.

3. This drink may help asthma sufferers.

Because it contains theophylline (a muscle relaxant), it can
help the muscles surrounding bronchial tubes to relax. This
helps asthma sufferers to breathe with less restriction.

4. Green tea may help lower blood pressure.

High blood pressure makes you susceptible to heart attack
and stroke. This ancient brew may also keep blood clots from
forming.

5. Green tea has been reported to help in the fight against
cancer.

Doctors from the prestigious Mayo Clinic found that green
tea extract given to four leukemia patients seemed to help
three of them experience regression of the disease. And even
the fourth patient showed some improvement. The reason the
doctors tried green tea extract is that a 2004 test tube
study showed that leukemia cells were killed by the
extract.

By the way, in Japan there are fewer reported cancer deaths.
Could it be because the Japanese drink a lot of green tea?

6. Drinking this beverage my help lower cholesterol.

Lowering cholesterol with no side effects has been reported
in studies using green tea. Your ability to fight heart
disease and ward off stroke is tied in with your cholesterol
count.

7. This brew may help your body fight infections.

The New York Times reported in April of 2003 that the immune
system’s ability to fight disease may be strengthened by
drinking green tea. Microbiologist Milton Schiffenbauer,
professor at Pace University (New York) stated, “Our
research shows tea extracts can destroy the organism that
causes disease. If we can stimulate the immune system and at
the same time we are destroying the organisms then it makes
sense to drink more tea.”

Now that you’ve learned 7 ways green tea has been shown to
help your health, why not give it a place in your daily
diet? It’s not a magic cure, but this proven ancient
beverage may just help you to be healthier.

Andy J Blake asked:

As people go through their daily grind of work and keeping up with family responsibilities it can be an exhausting task. Being a stay at home parent I have had many sleepless nights which automatically make me start my day off feeling like I’m running on empty. So when someone needs an extra boost to help focus and get through their day a beverage with caffeine is usually the first and most convenient choice.

The problem is that the majority of drink options available that contain caffeine are not healthy. The FDA sets a limit for caffeine in soda (which is 65mg per 12 ounces) but does not regulate the amount companies add to their beverages. Caffeine in moderation is not harmful. However products such as Energy Drinks and some cola’s can contain double to quadruple the limit set by the FDA.

When you walk into a store or watch TV there are advertisements all over promoting Soda and Energy Drinks. If you are feeling sluggish and want a boost it would be hard to resist the feeling of explosive energy and plow through the doldrums of a work day.

Every person is affected by caffeine differently. Some are more sensitive to it than others. When used in excess it can cause serious side effects. Minor problems may include dizziness, nausea, nervousness, and jitters. In more extreme cases overuse can lead to heart palpitations, anxiety, muscle twitching, headaches, and insomnia.

Comparison of Caffeine Content

Green Tea – 30-50mg in an 8oz serving
Instant Coffee – 57mg in an 8oz serving
Pepsi – 38mg in a 12oz serving
Rockstar – 160mg in a 12oz serving
Red Bull – 80mg in an 8.3oz serving

The caffeine content in Green Tea is slightly less than that a cup of instant coffee. Properly speaking Green Tea comes from a bud not a leaf. The buds are picked in early spring which yields the highest grade and caffeine content.

When comparing Green Tea with other caffeinated beverages it is actually very similar to Instant Coffee and Soda. However a key difference between them is that Green Tea contains two potent compounds L-theanine and Epigallocatechin (ECGC). L-theanine is an amino acid that promotes a feeling of relaxation. Science Daily also reports that ECGC helps fight bacterial sepsis and also helps neutralize the effects of caffeine.

In moderation Caffeine in Green Tea is not harmful. Also not only are the side effects minute but the health benefits far outweighs the nearly non-existent nutritional value in Soda and Energy Drinks. Green Tea is an excellent choice and can help improve the quality of your health. Why not give it a try?

Cindy Amorin asked:

Many people have requested information about the benefits of green tea for dieting. More importantly, can green tea help you lose weight? Well, preliminary studies indicate that green tea appears to have the potential to promote weight loss. Specifically, green tea may support a weight loss program by increasing metabolism and promoting fat burning.

A small but interesting study published in the in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Vol. 70, No. 6, 1040-1045, December 1999 found that “green tea has thermogenic properties and promotes fat oxidation beyond that explained by its caffeine content per se. The green tea extract may play a role in the control of body composition via sympathetic activation of thermogenesis, fat oxidation, or both.”

However, don’t be fooled about the benefits of green tea for dieting as some type of “magic potion” for shedding unwanted pounds. Put simply, some preliminary studies suggest that green tea may be helpful, but it can’t provide miracle weight-loss solutions. In fact, there is no magic pill out there for weight loss.

On the other hand, green tea offers other health benefits that go way beyond its possible weight loss aid benefit that exuberant excellence.

The properties that have helped green tea’s claim to fame are a group of compounds known as polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). These polyphenols are potent antioxidants. In fact, researchers found EGCG to be 200 times more powerful than the well renowned antioxidant vitamin E in neutralizing free radicals.

Antioxidants are disease-fighting substances that mop up the continuous onslaught of free radicals. Free radicals are unstable oxygen molecules that damage cells as they travel through the body and are thought to be instrumental in causing cancer, aging, and many degenerative diseases, including atherosclerosis and heart disease if left unchecked.

Among the arsenal of possible health benefits of green tea that go way beyond the possible benefits of green tea for dieting, meaning as weight loss aid include:
Stave off tooth decay (high in fluoride) May help to prevent various types of cancers Counter aging Ward off heart disease by lowering cholesterol levels and reducing blood pressure May delay the onset of atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries)

Bottom Line…

Can green tea help you lose weight?

It is difficult to know if green tea will be helpful to you because we are all different.

Nutritional-Supplement-Educational-Centre Opinion on the Benefits of Green Tea for Dieting

Unfortunately, additional studies are needed to confirm green tea’s effectiveness for promoting weight loss. On the other hand, it certainly appears to be no harm in integrating this ancient brew into your daily diet for its other proven health benefits. However, if you decide that you want to try the benefits of green tea for dieting, meaning as a weight loss aid, reducing a high calorie diet and increasing physical activity is also needed.

Do we have other suggestions besides green tea for dieting?

In general, permanent weight loss requires a lifetime commitment to a healthier lifestyle. I know, easier said than done. However, most Americans are overweight because of poor diet and/or eating habits and the lack of exercise.

So, what supplements may be helpful along with a health-promoting diet and a healthy lifestyle?
A high quality foundation supplement that contains a broad range of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, herbal extracts, enzymes, antioxidants, and specialty nutrients to support good health. In fact, we take green tea as part of our foundation multi nutrient supplement. A high quality pharmaceutical grade fish oil supplement (omega 3 essential fatty aids). A natural appetite suppressant and energy supplement.
