  • mohanaturo says:

Hans Von Euler, Nobel Laureate for Chemistry, Nobel Lecture May 1930:

on this basis we now understand how quantities of
one millionth of a gram and less of a poison may be sufficient to paralyse or
annihilate an organism; the quantity of the catalysts required to be inactivated
in the poisoning of an organ is not greater than the quantity of poison used.
There is therefore nothing mystical in the homeopathic doses.

  • mohanaturo says:

Number of Nobel Laureate Scientists who have proven the efficacy of high dilutions: 2

Number of flat-earth-PSEUDOscientists who have disproven the efficacy of high dilutions: NIL

    So the final score is:

    Homeopathy: 2

    Flat-earth-PSEUDOscientists: NIL

  • BaronVonWolfenstien says:

Most curative medicine know to man? This is ridiculous, Im trying to have a construcive debate and you are basically putting your hands over your ears, You do not fully understand clinical trialing, you have no conception of how the body works, you simply cherry pick facts that support your ridiculous theory that water with a good memory cures disease. I know one thing tho, if ever you are seriously ill you will go to a hospital and swallow as many pills as your doctor asks you to.

  • den151redbank says:

Ditto h. success in defending against flu, cholera, typhoid and scarlet and yellow fever. Ditto the history of h. cures of chronic diseases.

A reasonable person has to ask why anyone would want to deny those facts? Why would anyone want to dissuade others from investigating or advocating for one of the most curative forms of medicine known to man?

  • den151redbank says:

The BBC later had to apologize. The motive behind VoYS’s action? They’re part of Sense About Science (!!!), a charity in the UK with well documented ties to big pharma. Example, SAS received 33,000 pounds from AstraZeneca.

People opposing h. (like you) are either ignorant of the facts supporting h. or choose to deny, distort and discredit those facts. That includes studies/trials supporting it. Ditto the remarkable success h. had in defending against leptospirosis in Cuba in 2007-8.

  • den151redbank says:

The truth here is that in 2005 WHO recognized homeopathy as the second most used system of med in the world. Your claim that WHO banned h. is a total fabrication. You’re referencing the sad and devious actions of the STUDENT ORG. VoYS. That org excerpted sentences from several letters from WHO and crafted them into one letter. They presented this letter to the BBC as if it were a formal position from WHO on malaria, HIV and TB which it is NOT. The BBC distorted that letter and published it.

  • HomeopathicDana says:

@BaronVonWolfenstien You have proven that a little knowledge is dangerous. You’re misinformed: the diarrhea studies were NEVER disproven, only a homeopathic combination medicine did not work. You’re now blocked. Good-bye.

  • BaronVonWolfenstien says:

This is completely misleading. Half the studies you refer to are small, badly carried out trials. The diarrhea studies you quote were all carried out by the same people and the results were not reproducable. The reality of the matter can be shown in the fact that the WHO has now banned the use of homeopathic medicines for serious diseases to stop the endangerment of peoples lives. Its a nice idea that magical energy waves heal the body but its completely scientifically unfounded.

  • kabloozie says:

I’d be curious what was contained in the placebo.

  • wavtracks says:

cool video. is it advisable to combine crystal therapy with homeopathy? My homepath has also recommended that i should leave my homepathic medicine next to a crystal overnight which stimulates the solution on a quantam level. Is this safe or will the solution become too strong?

  • BenCosway says:

Very nice cherry picking of the evidence my friend.

  • den151redbank says:

    Hey, skeptic(s)….

You can play your childish games blanking out every pro-homeopathy post, but YOU CAN’T STOP US FROM POSTING. So, here it is:

Homeopathy has been a life saver for me in my treatment of serious, chronic illnesses. It has been equally wonderful in treating acute illnesses.

There is a large body of high quality scientific work evidencing FOR HOMEOPATHY.

Anyone who find homeopathy has a friend for life!

  • HomeopathicDana says:

Yeah…but go to a professional homeopath…do not expect personalized medical advice via youtube.

  • Magarmach09 says:

i am suffring from cronic constapation from 2 years
    can homopathy could cure it?

    please help me

  • den151redbank says:

Homeopathy has been a life saver for me in my treatment of serious, chronic illness and equally effective in acute illnesses.

I hope many, many more people find h. They will have a friend for life.

  • JimHewittWhite says:

Or abhish, you could check out the work of the scientist Ennis, *if* you actually want to find out about science, as opposed to regurgitating the tired old prejudices you’ve heard others say.

But that’s something of an “If”.

  • HomeopathicDana says:

That is right…and that is why homeopathy still survives and has tens of millions of users every day…and homeopathy is NOT outside of science. There is a body of basic science and clinical science research if you just look for it (check PubMed, for instance).

  • JimHewittWhite says:

    Abs,

In centuries gone by, you would have been one of those saying “It’s just *obvious* that the world is flat. If the world were round we’d be able to see it”.

  • abhish1313 says:

The Flat Earth Society is another place where you can find allies. Don’t get mad at me…I am just trying to be helpful..

  • JimHewittWhite says:

That “real science” is unable to provide proof for 87% of conventional medicine…

Maybe con.medicine should unite with creationists. Their faiths are both about as blind.

  • JimHewittWhite says:

Yes…. And of the 89, it was concluded homeopathy was 2 1/2 times more likely to produce a clinically beneficial response than placebo.

  • abhish1313 says:

homeopaths should consult creationists. The pseudo-scientific community should unite against the tyranny of real science.

  • beebobox says:

a quote from the interpretation of that review, mind you the lancet was reviewing 186 trials, of those only 89 met the criteria on top of having adequate date for analysis. so less then half, wonder this pool of trials had any people biased to them being positive were involved.

“However, we found insufficient evidence from these studies that homoeopathy is clearly efficacious for any single clinical condition. Further research on homoeopathy is warranted provided it is rigorous and systematic.

  • mohanaturo says:

In 1996, Prof George Vithoulkas was awarded the Alternative Nobel Prize (The Right Livelihood Award) for his work in the field of Homeopathy.

James Randi on the other hand is a magician who’s good at deceiving the ignorant!

  • mohanaturo says:

Homeopathy can’t possibly be placebo effect because it cures objective symptoms of non self-limiting chronic diseases such as chronic tonsillitis in infants & children and tumours in animals. Infants and animals are not subject to the placebo effect.

Observer bias is not applicable to OBJECTIVE symptoms such as chronic tonsillitis, tumors and skin diseases which are routinely cured by many Homeopathy clinics/hospitals around the world one of which is the Banerji Research Centre, India.
